Let’s welcome the Year of the Snake together!

Children Around the World's January stop in Taiwan

2025.01.25. – 09:30

Dear Children Around the World!
On our first trip this year, we’re visiting the Far East island nation of Taiwan. Why do the Taiwanese call themselves the “children of the sweet potato”? Do they eat, drink or speak mandarin? What are the natural treasures and modern urban life like in this tiny but densely populated country with a diverse culture? These questions will be answered in our programme, which has been deliberately timed to celebrate the region’s biggest holiday, the Lunar New Year, which starts on 29 January.

Programme
from 9:30 – Arrival, registration, collective creative work
10:00-10:20 – Interactive presentation on Taiwan
10:20-10:30 – Taiwanese tribal dance demonstration
10:40-12:30 – Taiwan-related crafts

The event will be streamed online on our Facebook page, and video footage and photos will be taken and posted on the Gallery’s and the partner institution’s website and other social media platforms. By participating in the event, you agree that recordings may be made and used.
